| MobileActive signs agreement with EMI Music and V2 Music |

Company adds over 12,000 tracks to its mobile music catalogue (SYDNEY, Australia) 25 July 2006 – MobileActive Limited (ASX:MBA), a global mobile content and entertainment provider, is pleased to announce a significant progression of its mobile music strategy with the signing of distribution agreements with EMI Music and V2 Music (founded by Richard Branson). Combined this provides access to over 12,000 realtones, including top artists such as Coldplay, Jet, Robbie Williams, The Rolling Stones, Kasey Chambers, Stereophonics and Paul Weller. These will be made available for download via the mobile phone and MobileActive’s website at www.mobileactive.com “EMI is very pleased to be working with MobileActive to allow fans everywhere access to our artists' great range of music via their mobile phone,” said Gareth Isaac, head of strategy and business development, EMI Music Australia. “V2 are very pleased to have signed our deal with MobileActive, expanding our distribution in Australia in the ever growing music via mobile market,” said Beth Appleton, digital manager, V2 Music. The signing of these agreements will compliment the audio visual component of MobileActive’s extensive catalogue, which includes polyphonic ringtones, realtones, voicetones, videotones, videos, wallpapers, animations and SMS alerts. The expanded catalogue will service various direct to consumer brands across telecommunications carriers and channel relationships. Australia-wide marketing campaigns for new products are scheduled to commence during the September quarter and will also be utilised to leverage other channel relationships. The EMI and V2 catalogues will also be used to enhance the company’s exclusive relationships with Channel 7’s Eclipse Music TV and Australia’s largest independent phone retailer, Allphones. In addition, enabling greater market reach, MobileActive has completed the licensing of content repurposing software that will enhance its ability to automatically optimise the delivery of content based on the features, functionality and screen size of each mobile handset. “We remain focussed on delivering a diverse range of mobile content to the consumers when and where they want it, in a user-friendly and easily digestible manner,” said Neil Wiles, managing director, MobileActive. “This is a very important time for us, as we ramp up our music strategy, with forecasts recently being released that mobile music users could surpass online music users over the next three years”, continued Wiles. |
