MobileActive opens-up sales to its own Internet traffic network enabling third party marketers to access the desirable mobile content consumer (SYDNEY, Australia) 13 December 2006 – MobileActive Limited (ASX:MBA), Australia’s largest independent marketer of mobile phone content and entertainment, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Max Interactive to manage advertisers and ad placements on its Internet and Mobile Internet site network with launch advertisers including 3 Mobile and Dell. “The mobile content and entertainment consumer is a highly desirable marketing target for many major brands. MobileActive has created a successful network of Internet and Mobile Internet sites having run multiple brands in a variety of content genres and currently has a mobile content catalogue of over 300,000 items, in and around which there are marketing opportunities,” said Neil Wiles, managing director of MobileActive. Mobile advertising is rapidly becoming a hot space. Statistics are showing click through rates on mobile advertisements are much higher than online advertising encouraging increased activity by marketers. According to Datacomm Research Company, the mobile phone service will become an extraordinarily powerful marketing channel as it reaches people everywhere they go by voice, text, and increasingly multimedia. The partnership agreement with Max Interactive, a third party, interactive sales network, will leverage MobileActive’s technology by placing advertisements through its site networks, as well as its mobile content and entertainment. “Launching advertising on our network is an exciting revenue building opportunity for MobileActive with a low cost base which can make a positive contribution to overall margins. MobileActive is very well positioned to play a valued role in the mobile advertising space in Australia.” continued Wiles.
